When her estate was probated in Portobacco on January, 23, 1749, Susanna Clements and her half niece, Charity Story Chandler deposed that they and Ann Causen were present on January 8, 1749, between 3 and 4 in the afternoon when Elizabeth expressed her wishes at to how her estate should be divided. She said it should be equally divided between her daughters, Sarah and Penelope and her sons, Thomas and Jesse. Elizabeth directed that Thomas would be considered of age at 18. Thomas and Sarah were appointed administrators. |
